Last September, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich declared that “our country is an embarrassment to the world.”
Well, he’s come a long way since then. Now, our country’s just full of racists:

Wow, Pop. That’s really helpful and not at all ignorant and stupid.
Nothing being people together more than telling stereotyping people as racists. https://t.co/vKDMHBT2vq

A country cannot be racist…only individuals. The vast majority of Americans accept others without regard for race.

Calling America a racist country won’t win him converts to his position or make ppl want 2 listen. Alienates good people 4 no good reason

Hard to respect his views. I’m ok with racism still exists. To say “racist country” is just wrong. He plays to his audience. Sorry pop but racism is kept alive by poor representation of the facts by one sided celebrity types like you. All talk no real solutions.

How do we live in a racist country? This is the most diverse place in the world. There aren’t enough characters in twitter for me to explain why this statement is completely false.
— Matthew (@Hoodie_Matt) February 13, 2018
America is unique in that it can be the most racially and ethnically diverse nation on earth, pay it’s minority athletes twenty times what the average household earns, and still be considered racist. Great work, Pop!

Great coach. Even greater douchebag.

Hey Pop, last time I looked your team wasn’t doing so well. Maybe you should focus on your job and stay out of politics. Unless of course you’re setting yourself up for a new career.

Maybe a new career is just what the doctor ordered:
shouldn’t he resign and let a person of color take over

It’s only fair. Right, Pop?
