‘You SH*TTING me?’ NBC News, MSNBC issue ‘*HUGE* correction’ to Michael Cohen wiretapping story

As Twitchy told you earlier, NBC News and MSNBC reported that the feds had wiretapped Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and even intercepted one of his calls. Yeah, well, about that:

MSNBC Chyron: “Correction: Feds are monitoring, not listening to Cohen’s calls”

*HUGE* correction from NBC – says feds are “monitoring” michael cohen’s calls, not listening to or recording them.

— kelly cohen (@politiCOHEN_) May 3, 2018

whoa: NBC is correcting its wiretap story on MSNBC right now, saying it was not a wiretap on Cohen phone. Says it was instead a log of phone calls known as a “pen register,” so couldn’t listen in

— Justin Sink (@justinsink) May 3, 2018

MSNBC just corrected on-air their wiretapping story, now say the government was “monitoring” Cohen’s calls.

That is… a gigantic difference.

Pretty darn gigantic, yeah.

The media just can’t stop covering themselves in glory, can they?

This is an immense screw-up. A pen register is comparatively a nothingburger. https://t.co/c8mMntW2HP

The media have to stop blowing stories like this. Get it together, guys. https://t.co/deqDq935R6

There’s only one question left to ask now:

Did they get confirmation from Stormy Daniels lawyer? https://t.co/ffxsCpdmKF
